MOSES KIPNGETICH KURGAT – Senior Lead Partner and Partner in-Charge of Dispute Resolution Department

Moses is a Senior Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 35 years of Professional legal experience. He has extensive experience across all sectors of the legal industry having begun his legal career on the bench and transitioning to serve in various sectors of the country. He brings to the team a steady hand, relevant experience in client management and professionalism as well as the technical know-how and competence in general Constitutional litigation, Intellectual Property Rights and Conveyancing. As the lead partner, he will be the official contact person for all matters related to the firm as he will provide leadership and guidance. Moses has extensive knowledge and training in Intellectual Property (IP) matters having served as the Chair of the Industrial Property Tribunal (IPT). To-date he continues to give trainings and mentorships across the region on IP matters. Having been admitted to the Bar in 1984, he has worked in various capacities honing his skills in various sectors of legal practice. He carries the vision of the firm.

MITCHELLE CHEPKOECH KURGAT – Partner in-Charge of Conveyancing and Real Estate Department

Mitchelle is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over seven years’ experience in the Conveyancing and Real Estate practice. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) – Kenyan Chapter and is presently pursuing her LLM at the Strathmore University Law School (SLS). Mitchelle prior and after admission to the bar has previously worked in the firms of Iseme Kamau & Maema Advocates, Madan Handa Advocates and Namasaka & Kariuki Advocates (a spinoff of Sichangi Partners), where she obtained an adept experience, as well as a keenness in the practice of Conveyancing and Real Estate law. Her professional experience and competence makes her an ideal Partner to head our growing Conveyancing and Real Estate department. She brings to the team a passionate approach and firm belief in Client satisfaction. Her dedication to service delivery and professionalism merges well with our value-proposition of more-for-less legal services.

ELIZEBA JEPLETING- Senior Associate Advocate

Elizeba is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 5 years post-admission Experience. Prior to joining the firm, she has served as an Associate Advocate in the firm of Maanzo & Company Advocates with a specialty in conveyancing, corporate commercial, tax, banking and finance, and competition law. She has also worked in the judiciary as a Legal Researcher in the Commercial and Tax Division of the High Court at Milimani Law Courts, Nairobi. Elizeba is an accomplished, reliable, results-driven and fully dedicated advocate with a solid academic background. She has exceptionally creative and effective communication skills that have seen her interact with ease and professionally with colleagues and clients of all levels and walks of life to achieve desired results. She brings with her exceptional research and drafting skills with a bias in the corporate commercial sector and competition law. Her greatest pillars in life are; Efficiency, Competence & Integrity. Above all, she is driven by the desire to serve God and make a lasting impact in the world.

DIEGO MARITIM – Associate Advocate

Maritim is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He is a Graduate of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from JKUAT University. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. Maritim is an Associate Advocate in the Litigation Department. He also works with the Corporate and Commercial Law as well as Conveyancing and Real Estate Departments. He also handles Family Law and Succession matters. Maritim has great mastery of legal research and drafting skills.

PROFESSOR PETER WASAMBA – Associate Advocate

Prof. Peter Wasamba is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He did his pupillage at KKOA and was absorbed after he was admitted to the Bar. With over two decades as a scholar of Literature and five years as a Lecturer of Law at the University of Nairobi, Wasamba is a grounded researcher, a skill he deftly applies to legal research and drafting. Prof. Wasamba handles Personal Injury Law, Family Law, Human Rights Law, Criminal Litigation and Commercial Litigation. Wasamba is a Professor of African Literature in the Department of Literature at the University of Nairobi. He has worked as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Chairman Department of Literature at the University of Nairobi. He has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) 2nd Class Hons. Upper Division and Master of Laws (LLM) – International Law, all from the University of Nairobi. Wasamba enjoys researching and conceptualizing legal strategies.

CHARITY ACHIENG OWICH – Pupil

Charity holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi. She is an advocate trainee and is attached at the litigation department. Her proficiency in research enables her to come up with some of the most detailed and well-reasoned legal opinions. She has gathered experience in drafting legal documents related to litigation, Conveyancing and Probate & Administration. She is a dedicated team player and works well with every member of staff.
